ReplyDeleteYears ago we found a recipe for Tennessee stack cake. It is the perfect example of something that sounds weird and tastes amazing. It's a cake with many layers baked on sheet pans - very similar to sugar cookies; homemade apple-butter is spread between the layers, it's dusted with powdered sugar and then covered with a tea towel for a day. So amazing and beautiful too. It's now a family tradition.
